I just got back from a 2 hour hike wearing my Kozy. I had no back problems/aches at all. And dd fell asleep in it! That is a first in a long time. Usually she is just so distracted by all the stuff to see she won't nap. So, I hope that helps with you decision some. I am able to go for long hours wearing her on my back. Although, she is much lighter then your babe. My dd is only 15 lbs or so at 10 mos.

I got it today and I LOVE IT! The design, the fabric, the padding - everything is just right, and feels very nice too. We tried all possible positions with my 7.5mo dd, and she loved all of them I think. She is being carried a lot in different carriers, but I am so happy I've got Kozy now - it is the easiest and the most comfortable for putting her on my back  (and she is 25 lbs or so). I'd be too happy to let others know what a wonderful gift you are offering - top quality craftsmanship which is loaded with love of creator and thousands of future moments of closeness and fun for those who receive it.

I received the Kozy today and as soon as I opened it, I tried it out!  I love it!  It is so comfy, and I am 15 weeks pregnant and the straps are so comfy.  I will let you know how it goes on our trip.  It was so cute, as soon as I opened it, my 23 month old said "piggyback", so I put him on, tied it up and we walked around the house.  He loved it!  My friend was having work done on her car, and I opened the door with the carrier on and the guy doing the work said "I never saw anything like that before, that's cool!"  So, I just wanted to let you know, we love our Kozy! Also, the sewing  and construction are amazing.  I have been sewing for 15+ years and it is excellent.  I love the fabric, it is so pretty! I really like the Kozy tag too! Take care and have a great day!!

Thank you so so much for the Kozy Carrier!  It is beautiful and I wish I had purchased it a long time ago!  It is perfect for my 32-pound toddler, and he loves it!  I have been slinging him since he was a newborn, but recently the slings I had been using had been starting to feel less and less comfy as he grew.  This is so comfortable!  Thank you for my carrier and for your contributions to attachment parenting and parent-child bonding!

Hi Kelley,  Guess what? The Kozy arrived on Wednesday, just before we left for France, so I did get to take it with me after all. It has been an absolute God-send and I really don't know how we would have managed without it at the airport, as we had to leave our pushchair well before we got to the departure gate and walk down three flights of stairs. With two other children in tow it would have been a complete nightmare without the carrier. And we've used it every day since - Caitlin loves it and it lets her snooze while we get on with other things.
So many, many thanks.

My babywearing experience began with a ring-sling that I was never really able to get the hang of.  From there I went to a pouch which was great, until my son got too heavy for one-shoulder carries.  Then I got my Kozy and it was love at first try!  The weekend that I got my Kozy I had been thinking about making an appointment with the chiropractor.  I never got to the chiropractor but my back actually felt better after wearing my son (9mo old and approximately 22 pounds then) for a long walk!  My Kozy is my carrier of choice anytime I have to carry my son for any length of time. Plus, Kelley has awesome customer service and is such a pleasure to work with!

Dear Kelley, My Kozy just arrived and it's the greatest thing!!! It is so beautiful!! The instructions are clear and I got Griffin on my back first try no problem! Thank you so much, I've always wanted something like this (why was it not until the third and last child was fifteen months old that I finally found the carrier I've always wanted!?!?) I'll happily use it as long as I can! .... I really enjoyed your web site. Good luck with all you do.

Hi! I got the carrier last week- just in time for our vacation. It's great! So much more comfortable than the big backpack carrier that my husband uses. And a lot easier to throw on the back. My son likes it as well!  We returned from vacation last night and I packed up Larson in the Kozy for a trip across the street to get some milk. We ran into a gentleman who grew up in Morocco and he could remember when his grandmother toted him around in a carrier just like it when he was a kid. He said that all the woman in Moroccan use carriers like that. He then took me out to show his wife and child what he used to be carried in when he was a little boy! Kind of neat. So, thanks for the carrier! We've been enjoying it! I only wish I would have got one earlier!!
Best regards,

Adrienne Hamilton
I've found the Kozy to be SO perfect for gentle head support.  I don't know how Kelley got it just so, but with the Kozy baby's head is NOT smashed into your chest or back, but still there's fabric up behind the head so they can fall asleep and their head won't flop back or sideways off their shoulders.  LOL . . . . It's not as secure as, say, a stretchy wrap where you can stretch the fabric over their head and lean over and it won't move, but I know my daughter prefers the less constricting feel of it - she can turn her head back and forth and move around just enough to keep herself asleep.  They can have their head straight forward (not turned to the side) and still have a little bit of wiggle room.  It's just so neato. The first time I put the Kozy on, it was like in a movie where a bright light shines down and a big chord plays.  It just fit so wonderfully and my daughter was super comfy too.  :)

Oh my Gosh!  This sling is AWESOME!   I can truly hold by baby hands-free to do other things (something I was never really comfortable doing with "other slings".)  Plus, it is SO well made!  The canvas material just feels super strong and doesn't slip due to it's natural roughness.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Kelley,  I am sure you are inundated with thank you emails- but here is mine.  I love the kozycarrier.  The first day we got it, I put Callie on in the front and we went for a walk outside.  I love the support it offers and the freedom of having my arms free.   The design makes it very comfortable and spreads her weight evenly.  The construction is very sturdy and the appearance attractive.  I only regret not getting on your list the first time I came across it, when my baby was 6 months old.  I know we will still get much use from it, as dd is still only 13 months.......I want to thank you for coming up with the idea of doing this for those of us that don't sew........You really have a quality product.  I wish you great success!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! With Love.

I'm a Montessori teacher (lots of moving around) and I took my 11 month old 23 pound dd to work with me last week. I carried her on my back in the Kozy almost all day. I moved her around to the front a couple times and took her down to nurse. I worked from 7:30 to 6 (charter school, long day!) At the end of the day my feet hurt and I was tired but my back, neck and shoulders were just fine. . . . My house has been so clean since I got my Kozy. I just strap her on my back in the evening and she is rocked to sleep while I do the laundry, dishes, vacuum and just about any other cleaning that needs to be done. Then when I put her to bed I have all my time to do whatever I want.

Lisa
The construction of the pocket is really interesting. It is very deep. Whatever I drop in it, specifically keys, fall to the bottom of the pocket and kind of rest in the bottom, not against DS. Kind of hard to describe. Kelly designed it perfectly.

Oh Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!  I am so in love with my Kozy. I have a bone disease in my ankle and this is the first carrier that I have ever used that doesn't hurt it. I carried my 10 month old on my back the first night I got it . . . . I love carrying her in the front facing in and its so easy to nurse her. She looks awkward facing out but she seems very happy. I will be very sad to have to put it away for 2 months as I recover from my upcoming ankle surgery. My husband will use it and it will be fine I am sure!!! It was very worth the wait!

"I LOVE my Kozy.  When I first received it I put it on quickly and easily without assistance and had my wiggly baby in a secure back carry.  The Asian Back Carrier design is simple, but this carrier is so wonderful.  The curved top adds just the right touch and a bit of added support.  It is very comfortable to wear, with just enough padding, but still not too much, so it folds up compactly in a diaper bag.  Kelley's customer service is excellent and her workmomship is beautiful.  I would never hesitate to recommend a Kozy carrier to anyone!"

I consider my Kozy Carrier the single most useful tool in caring for my son, who has severe gastroesophageal reflux. It keeps him in a secure, upright position and even at 21 pounds, I can carry him comfortably for numerous hours every day. It is the only way I can get him comfortable enough to sleep. It also leaves my hands free to care for my 2 year old. The Kozy Carrier is an essential for every mother of a baby with reflux.

I got the carrier today in the mail and I love it!!  DH likes it too which says a lot b/c he's hard to please. I actually got him on my back with minimal hassle by myself on the second try.  I have never had an experience this great with a WAHM for all the tons of shopping I have done. Thank you so much for your excellence.  Your work gives much glory to God. Best wishes.

Just wanted to let you know, That I got my Kozy and it's AWESOME. The sewing is wonderful, and even my husband (very anti sling thinks there girlie) loves it. My daughter passes right out in it almost every time we use it. I think it must have came dusted with some sleep dust. LOL......Thanks. :)

My ds is 15 months and about 30 lbs. The only way we can take him anywhere is in the Kozy. If I just hold him he'll want to run around and destroy things. If I put him in a shopping cart he wants me to hold him then he wants down to destroy things. He is impossible unless he is in the kozy than he just swings his feet and hums. I can hold my big ole ds in the Kozy all day. We went on an all day hike last weekend and My shoulders were completely fine.

Dear Kelley,  We LOVE your Kozy Carrier!  I love how comfortable it is both for front and back carrying--but especially for the front.  No other carrier I have tried allows me to wear Anna in comfort for so long face-to-face, and we are both enjoying that closeness.  The fabric is so soft and really pretty--thank you for the good recommendations, and for sharing your talents.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I received the carrier and absolutely love it! :o)  I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to get my son on my back and was going to be a completely dork, but I actually got him all situated on the first try.  Just thought I'd let you know that it was received and all.  Thanks much!

Please take time to read all the wonderful things people have to say about the Kozy.  We are oh so grateful for the kind words and feel privileged to be able to
help people carry their babies. We would love to hear from you.
If you have a testimonial you would like to add to this page please contact Kelley.

I lost a bunch of testimonials when my computer crashed. If you had one and it is not here I would love to include it. Please feel free to send it to me again.
Oh my gosh....this thing totally rocks!   I can see why you guys have a  cult following and a waiting list!  I've got lots of different carriers, including a few mei tais and I can honesly say that this is the MOST comfortable out of all of them, and drop dead gorgeous to boot.  It fits like a dream and it hugs Braeden (4 months old today!) so snugly and comfortably... something my other mei does not seem to do. Just wanted to thank you guys for a job well done! This was SO worth the wait. I'm going to go get back on the wait list for another
one....lol. Ahhh.....Kozy love.  : )

Kelley,  I've fallen so in love with it . . . it was soooo worth the wait.  Really, really wonderful carrier. . . I'm so surprised that something has finally lived up to its hype!!! The Kozy is a masterpiece. Can you tell I'm thrilled???  I put my five yo in it today, and i barely noticed he was there (other than the long legs kicking me!) Thanks for all you do---you've been so helpful.

The 'Original' KOZY CARRIER website . . . where it all began!
I went out with them yesterday, and wanted to let you know that I had success carrying my 21 month old (29 lbs) on my back with my 3 week old (9-1/2 lbs) on my front.  I think they will be getting a LOT of use as all my kids are little enough to need carrying or hand-holding when we're out (they're 5, 4, 1-1/2, and NB).  I think the reason I would choose to use two Kozys over any other combo I can think of is that I can get either the front baby or the back baby off without disturbing the other one.  That's key for me.  Anyway, keep up the good work.  All the best...

My daughter is now one year old and I can say that this is one of my two favorite things we have bought all year. I had planned on returning the carrier after it was the third carrier we had tried. I thought the baby needed to face outward and would have to uncomfortably twist to see what was in front of her. Kelley explained the reasoning behind the baby facing mom and she was right.  The baby feels more protected and safe and can fall asleep on mom's warm chest listening to the familiar sound of her heartbeat.

I always carry her in the Kozy and it leaves my hands free to shop. It is hassel free to put on and safe to secure baby in it. She squeals with delight when I put her in it and I know she is a more social baby because she has always been at face level instead of knee level (in a stroller).

The Kozy is a superb design and quality. I wear her in it up to four times a week and it still looks great. I see other new moms carrying their babies in their arms or even uncomfortably propped up in a grocery cart before they can sit up on their own. I want to tell all the moms to make their life easier, establish hands free bonding, and promote a happier and healthier baby by "wearing them". I always look forward to shopping while wearing the Kozy.

My daughter just started to walk and I wanted to run into the toy store "quickly". I did not wear the Kozy and she insisted on getting down from my arms on the dirty floor and crawl. In the Kozy she only wants out to feed or have a diaper change. So many moms ask about the Kozy when we are out. I would highly recommend this carrier over all others---and definately buy it with the pocket. I never have to carry a purse b/c I can fit SO much in this pocket (wallet, keys, her water bottle and mine, teethers, tissues, and a diaper).

The Kozy is a must have for ALL mothers who want to  simplify transporting baby in all situations (not just shopping). The Kozy would make a beautiful and unique baby shower present.

Baby wearing is healthy for mom and baby and carried babies cry less and overall are so much happier and more content. Babies are little for such a small time, that I believe wearing the Kozy extends those sweet memorable moments. It is like having a constant hug from your little one.

As a Naturopathic Doctor I would recommend this natuaral product to all moms!

Dear Kelley,

Thank you so much for making such a wonderful baby carrier! As a mother of 2 young boys and a pediatrician with a special interest in breastfeeding and babywearing, I feel that babies are meant to be carried close to their parents. You absolutely cannot "spoil" a baby. Close contact with the parents gives a baby comfort, security, and is an important part of  their physical, social, and emotional development.

Wearing your baby allows you to attend to her needs promptly and facilitates breastfeeding. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that a baby should sleep in close proximity to the mother in order to optimize breastfeeding - this does not preclude waking hours when the mom is up and about. Babywearing, with a carrier like a Kozy, allows the mother-infant dyad unit to stay together and thus maximize breastfeeding.

My husband (also a pediatrician) and I love our Kozys because it's one size fits both (no adjusting needed if we share), has no loud snaps to wake the baby when we take him out of the carrier, has a head rest that works well when he sleeps, and has straps that are comfortable and distribute our child's weight across our back and shoulders. And we love the style of the fabrics.

Keep up the great job!  We'll be using our Kozys for years to
come and will be recommending this carrier to our friends
and patients' families!

Warmly,
